Dear Colleagues and Friends,

As the next meeting of the European Society of Neurosonology and Cerebral Hemodynamics (ESNCH) approaches, it is our honour and pleasure to give you a warm welcome and invite you to attend this prestigious meeting which will be held in Porto from 24th to 27th May 2013. 

Our 18th ESNCH scientific encounter in 2013 will have a programme designed to foster active discussion and improvements, including a first-ever joint venture with the third meeting of CARNet (Cerebral Autoregulation Network). The previous meetings of the ESNCH have set high scientific standards, positioning these reunions as the hallmark venue to discuss neurosonology, bringing together the world’s experts in investigation of cerebral hemodynamics. In direct line with this background we are confident that ESNCH 2013 programme will maintain the elevated level of expectations, with the additional value of our peer members in CARNet. Therefore, we will have an integrative programme including high standard hands-on tutorials, the possibility of taking the International Certification in Neurosonology and synergic scientific sessions.

 

At the tip of Rio Douro, the hilly city of Porto presents a jumble of styles, eras and attitudes: narrow medieval alleyways, extravagant baroque churches and prim little squares in a Unesco World Heritage zone lined with stately beaux-arts edifices that will surely please you. Add the world famous heritage of Port Wine, a renowned university hosting numerous foreign students, a widely-connected international airport and two recent masterworks: Museu de Arte Contemporânea and Casa da Música as crowning glories of the town and we are undoubted to provide you with a venue suitable to host such a prestigious event.
